I’ve been feeling nausea at night, after munching on food with specific textures (or lack of it)…like cooked spinach, bananas, or mushy avocados. I prefer more of the crunchy texture, but there isn’t a lot of food that fits into that category that isn’t super loaded with sodium or pre-packaged or processed. It’s challenging to deal with these cravings while trying to keep wholesome. There should be a Blue Apron service which caters to expecting mothers with certain dietary needs and cravings! Hmmm…perhaps I should start that?
On occasion, I find myself craving fish. So Jordan pan-fries some spanish sardines in a little olive oil, puts it atop garlic rice with some pickled veg and sili sau-sau on the side…and I’m one happy wife. I can seriously eat fish and rice all day, everyday. Call me a true filipino. 🙂
And then there are the spinach & cheese quesadillas that I’ve been devouring almost every other day. I am obsessed with melted cheese on grilled tortillas! I can’t stop! I wake up craaaaaaaving it. That must mean the baby needs calcium or something, right? Cheese is all I freakin’ think about when a hunger pang strikes! What is happening to meeeeee?
