Last night, I played a bit of Starcraft 2. Actually, four 1v1 games to be exact. I lost every one of them. I was doing rather well in one match against Terran…harassing him with the 3-barrack build, but then he ambushed me through the back entrance and I couldn’t recoup. I’m learning, slowly and steadily, to put pressure on the other player (thanks to the advice/example of my Zerg-loving boyfriend ^_^). But I have a problem with expanding, and establishing a solid mix of ground troops — especially at tier 2 / 3. I mustn’t be scatterbrained. I need to streamline my attacks. Ugh. Practice makes perfect.
We had a company lunch today. Before the meal, my boss said grace. I thought that was nice. I think he wants me to become a member at his church.
I’m eating a raisin cookie. I’d pick this over a chocolate chip cookie any day.
I watched a video of FTC taken after our first church excursion from 2 weekends ago. We were sitting at the tables outside Starbucks…talking about SC2, square knots, show and tell. It’s funny to see how our dynamic has changed since our inception. There’s noticeable strain now, less intrigue, hints of boredom perhaps? But it’s still good fun. There’s still real laughs, real smiles, real conversation. Oct/Nov ’09, we were inseparable…ascending…on the rise. It was around Dec/Jan where we saw our crest. We’ve fallen a bit, and perhaps we’re on a plateau now. We just need to mix it up a bit and find new things to do together.
