I’ve been taking my vitamins religiously over the past year or so. I don’t know whether I’m afraid of dying or of deflating – losing that youthful bounce and buoyancy. I suppose it must be the latter since I’ve noticed my immediate annoyance at every little crick and crack of these aging joints.
While in Houston last weekend, I had forgotten to pack my daily doses (a multivitamin + biotin + vitamin c + calcium)…so I asked my girlfriend whether she had any multivitamins I could take. She opened up her cabinet and I thought I stepped into Vitamin Shoppe. Lol. Not only did she have bottles upon bottles of every supplement available, she had a few prescription meds that any pill-popper would have burned some serious paper for. I was envious.
We were both scouring the rows of her vitamin collection…and I felt like a kid at a candy store. Oooooh some zinc…how about some Omega-3?…A, B’s, C, D, E?…Glucosamine maybe? I stuffed my mouth with a palmful of pills and swigged down some water.
It was the most pills I had ever popped in one night. 🙂
