I’m on the market for a new scent. I’ve gone through phases…like any woman. Sweet, spicy, sporty, sultry. I’ve recently been drawn to more unisex aromas — both woodsy & musky. Which sounds like a new cartoon for the Nature Channel.
My most recent buys have been:
- Jo Malone’s Blackberry & Bay Cologne
- Jo Malone’s Black Cedarwood & Juniper Cologne
- Diptyque’s L’Ombre Dans L’eau
- Burberry Classic Perfume
As you can see, I am (almost) completely out of every bottle. I might have 2-3 stingy sprays of Burberry left. Everything else is down to nothing. I like living on the edge like that. I’m the same way with my gas tank; Jordan can attest to that. I drive down to the last 2 miles with my gas indicator glaring up at me with red eyes. Oh sooooo thrilling.
I would prefer not to smell…saucy. Like when someone walks by, and they leave a strong stench in their wake. That’s saucy. I can’t. Not my style. I’d prefer the slight stink of sweat over a pool of perfume any day. Ickkkk.
I’m considering Le Labo‘s Santal 33. “A woody aromatic fragrance for women and men. Features sandalwood, virginia cedar, cardamom, violet, papyrus, spices, leather, musk and amber.” It’s EXACTLY what I’m looking for. One of my besties introduced me to Le Labo in New York last summer. I am now completely obsessed.
There’s a new Le Labo section at Nordstrom in South Coast Plaza.
Did I mention that they sell candles as well?
That is very dangerous.
For my wallet.
Please hold me back.
