Before you find yourself complaining about models and actresses in magazines that get Photoshopped and look obnoxiously perfect or fake; or you find yourself bagging on women who get plastic surgery and enhance their assets…think about this:
I’m sure you retouch your face every morning. You know, amping up your lips with lipstick, brightening your eyes with eyeshadow, filling in your eyebrows with pencil, volumizing your lashes with mascara or ‘fake’ lashes, hiding your natural skin with concealer, primer, foundation, blush, bronzer?
You shop at Victoria’s Secret? You have a collection of heels? You get your nails done? Change your hair color? Hair extensions? Straightening treatments? Braces? Bleaching? Facials? Waxed? Spray-tanned?
Take all of that off –> take off all the makeup, take out the extensions, take off those 4-inch heels, take off that Miracle Bra, take off the Spanx…what’s left?
That’s right. The REAL you. Not the FAKE one.
Try leaving the house without all that ‘fakeness’ and see if you can truly be all natural. I bet you couldn’t do it.
Whether you realize it or not…you’re just as fake as the women you consider ‘fake’. 🙂 So maybe you should stop hating…and just embrace it.
