I have been sooooooooooooo extremely lazy over the holidays. Like slobbish, sloven, fugly lazy. I’ve lived in the same sweater and sweatpants for a few days straight now, shuffling around like an aimless, pudgy meatball.
But despite my first trimester fog, Jordan has been devoted to caring for me. He prepares & cooks my meals, morning and night. He’s up at the crack of dawn to make sure I wake up to whatever I’m craving: pancakes, omelettes, fruit smoothies, egg scramble with hash, quesadillas, sardines, avo toast, english muffins…anything. As if that wasn’t enough, before he gets home from a long day at work, he texts to find out what I’d like for dinner. If I haven’t already prepared something (which is almost never), I’m usually craving something home-cooked which he’ll happily go out of his way to make. Beef sinigang, tofu stir-fry, garlic fried rice, chicken adobo, arroz caldo, rice & beans, pasta, steak and mash, chicken enchilada rice, lemon butter salmon with roasted veg…you name it. My hubby will make it.
Lucky belly. Lucky lucky me. 🙂
