Our little dumpling has been experiencing stranger anxiety recently. When he’s around relatives/friends that aren’t normally a part of his daily routine, he starts to cry and looks around for Jordan & I for comfort.
Per Wikipedia, to lessen anxiety, strangers should perform positive interactions with the caregivers such as hugging, laughing, and talking calmly with one another. It gives baby reassurance that his mommy and daddy aren’t showing signs of fear in the presence of the stranger.
So the next time you’re around and you start to see Ethan’s eyes water with worry and fear, grab Jordan, grab me, and we’ll group hug the anxiety right out of him. #strangerdanger
