I’ve always been obsessed with skin care. I think I got it from my mama.
Around my high school years, I remember when she was crazy about Borghese. She had Borghese facial creams, Borghese mud masks, Borghese makeup, Borghese everything. She discouraged me from using her stash. She’d say that it was too expensive or too heavy for my skin. She would have tons of bottles, jars, applicators, makeup palettes, etc. scattered all over her bathroom counter. And despite her messiness, she had this amazing Spidey-sense if one of her lipsticks went missing or if I had borrowed an eyeshadow palette.
Today, though I’m not crazy about Borghese, I have no problem dishing out dollars on skincare. I have a major collection of makeup & moisturizers and beauty products of that sort, and yet I get so easily bored! I might use a lipstick for a special event and then forget about it; I’ll be obsessed with a BB cream for about a month; I have 3 or 4 mascaras that I’ve used once or twice. I don’t think I’ve ever used a product to completion.
Maybe I should repackage stuff and give it away for Christmas. lol. There have gotta be girls out there who are ok with that right? Half-used bronzers? Once-or-twice used lipsticks? 1/4th-used tubes of tinted moisturizers? Almost-never-used bottle(s) of perfume?
I think I’m going to start auctioning stuff on Ebay. Or just start giving stuff away to my friends. lol.
If you start seeing random FB/blog posts about beauty products from my cabinet, feel free to chime in and claim them as your own. Seriously.
